Joel DeVenzke ("I", "the Developer") built the Chess Trainer app as a Freemium app. This service is provided by Joel DeVenzke and is intended for use as is.

1. Information Collection and Use

I am committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Chess Trainer does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information.

• No User Accounts: You are not required to create an account or provide personal details to use the app.
• No Personal Data: I do not have access to your name, email address, phone number, or precise location.
• Local & Cloud Storage: Chess puzzles, progress, and settings are stored locally on your device. If you use iCloud, this data is stored in your private Apple-managed container. I cannot access or view this data.

2. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

Chess Trainer offers auto-renewable subscriptions using Apple’s StoreKit 2 framework.

• Payment Processing: All financial transactions are processed securely by Apple. I never see or store your credit card details or billing information.
• Transaction Verification: Apple provides the app with a cryptographically signed receipt to verify subscription status. While this transaction is linked to your Apple ID by Apple, I do not have access to your identity or contact information through this process.

3. Children’s Privacy

These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. I do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. In the case I discover that a child under 13 has provided me with personal information, I immediately delete this from my servers (though as stated, no data is currently collected).

4. Third-Party Services

The app does not use third-party analytics, advertising networks, or tracking SDKs. No data is shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Changes to This Privacy Policy

I may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. Any changes are effective immediately upon posting on this page.
